Matthew 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? 41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Our spirit is the thing of life, the soul is the response to stimuli, our reasoning, exp: yes, no, maybe. The flesh in this case is the soul making a decision to sleep. Not the physical body.  Further example is:
I Thessalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Also I Corinthians 5:5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
So we see we have spirit, soul, and flesh (the body)

Many false assumptions have been made by nor understanding these terms and usage. Your soul evil or good is eternal. Your soul saved or unsaved is your choice. Your body healed or sickly is also your choice by faith, action of the spirit to overcome the souls desire responding to the flesh.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Father you have given us a new spirit, give the gift of faith to receive healing as our soul receives truth in the Word our bodies respond in healing and we delight in Your Sons Glory.
